Our week back after the 4th of July holiday week was a big one. We had phenomenal week at Grit Camp with 17 counselors and 67 campers for our 6th week at Jacksonville University. We embraced and welcomed the Florida weather, played tons of sports and activities, completed the Grit Combine, were inspired by 'Rise' (a true story about NBA player Yannis and his family), and heard from Paul Lore - a veteran that just finished rowing across the Atlantic Ocean for 51 days. You might remember him from the podcast episode we interviewed him recently. We also had a surprise visit from the JU girls basketball team that played dodgeball with us one afternoon!
Our interns have been busy driving additional and repeat campers to camp for the last remaining weeks and finding additional sponsors. Stay tuned for updates on our last 2 weeks of camp!
